We are always more than proud whenever our partners spread their wings and discover new places. This is a big step for Tribù, considering that the Belgian family business is going to America. With their new showroom in Los Angeles, which festively opened in September, they have clearly put themselves even more on the international map. Therefore, it is evident that we wanted to know more about their youngest location.
It may surprise you, but the opening in Malibu simultaneously marks the first ever permanent store focusing exclusively on the Tribù range. At 500 square metres, the premises can definitely count as a flagship store. The choice of location was anything but arbitrary. CEO Koen De Cock has long harboured a deep appreciation for the coastal city and has found valuable inspiration there on several occasions. Long beach walks, vast arrays of colours, and a pleasing climate all year round are just some of the place's assets. It was therefore only fitting that their showroom would channel that atmosphere and do full justice to the high-end furniture designs. Creative director Marc Merckx took care of the design concept and initial drawings. By opting mainly for neutral tones and persistently bringing out the timelessness of the brand, the result is a faithful reflection of their ethos. At the same time, it clearly drew from the mid-century style the region is known for. Many homes in Los Angeles are inseparable from the high degree of connection between indoors and outdoors. Throughout the whole year, namely, you can enjoy warm temperatures and live on a rhythm that appreciates and consciously experiences the beauty of every day. This focus on intentional living is completely in sync with the understated luxury symbolised by the furniture brand.
This first US flagship store of Tribù offers a total experience
As a flagship store, this US location of Tribù offers a total experience. In terms of materials, this translated into a choice of natural textures. Artisanal stucco, details of oiled bronze and hemp for the ceiling covering are merely a few examples. The overall concept of the property enhances the impression of the design pieces. While the emulated atmosphere may clearly be that of the West Coast, the showroom proudly exhibits the Belgian craftsmanship that has crept into both the furniture offerings and design details. Moreover, this milestone is not the only one the brand has sunk its teeth in, as more news is coming. For example, a flagship showroom in Milan is in the pipeline for April 2024, just before the opening of the annual Salon del Mobile. In addition, major efforts are being made to provide the smoothest possible throughput in America. Efficient transport, limited delivery times, and a strategically located distribution point in Dallas, Texas are essential for this. Continuing to grow is still a strong ambition at Tribù, even after their many decades of experience. We wish our partner all the luck in America and all the other places they want to leave their mark.

There are only few stories like Tribù’s. From the sixties onwards, this family business has grown into an absolute pioneer in outdoor furniture. Discrete luxury, inspiration in nature, and simple designs are their familiar habitat. They are a huge added value as our partner, because their expertise and clearly orientated corporate spirit are difficult to match. Therefore, it is an enormous pleasure to introduce them to you.
